M41A Pulse Rifle by G&P, where it all began......

The modern airsoft “M41A Pulse Rifle” replica scene largely traces back to a key moment: G&P’s release of a conversion kit designed to fit a Thompson airsoft rifle back in the 90's. That kit established the basic approach, wrapping a Thompson-based platform with the iconic Pulse Rifle shell, so builders could achieve the look while retaining a proven internal mechanism.

Some time after after, Matrix/Snow Wolf effectively cloned that idea and turned it into a complete, out-of-the-box build, producing what most people now recognise as the “Snow Wolf Pulse Rifle.” It was a big deal at the time because it made the Pulse Rifle accessible: no hunting down multiple parts, no complex fitting work, just a single purchase that delivered the overall silhouette and function.

The shortfall....

However, while the Snow Wolf version captured the general profile, it’s also become known for being wildly inaccurate in key areas, especially when compared to more screen-faithful reference. The most obvious tell is at the rear of the shrouds near the stock, where the shape is noticeably different from the accurate geometry. Once you see that area side-by-side with proper reference, it stands out immediately, and it tends to be the point that drives owners to seek a conversion rather than minor touch-ups.

Cold Cast Aluminium Fibreglass Shroud Kits

At the heart of our Snow Wolf conversion work are our cold cast aluminium fibreglass shroud kits, developed specifically to correct the most obvious and frustrating inaccuracies of the factory build.

These are not modified Snow Wolf parts.

They are painstakingly reproduced from extensive reference study, including production stills, screen captures, surviving builds, and dimensional analysis of known accurate examples.

Every line, taper, and transition, especially in the critical rear shroud area by the stock, has been carefully reshaped to restore the correct geometry and flow.

We use a cold cast aluminium-infused surface layer over a fibreglass structure to achieve:

Our Electronic Ammo Counter System

One of the most common frustrations with the factory Snow Wolf rifle is the built-in counter system.

The original Snow Wolf design uses a light gate sensor inside the barrel that counts down when a BB physically passes through it. While that works for airsoft skirmishing, it creates a major problem for:

Display builds
Trooping and cosplay events
Non-firing prop builds

If you’re not firing BBs, the counter simply doesn’t count down.

For most builders and event attendees, that makes the factory system essentially useless.
