A little note about our “Sold Out” items

If you’ve noticed many of our pieces marked as sold out, don’t worry, they’re not gone forever.

Almost everything we create is custom-crafted to order, meaning each item is made specifically for you from start to finish. We list many products as “sold out” simply because they aren’t pre-made, they’re created individually once you place your order.

This approach allows us to offer you something truly special:

  1. A personalised, freshly-made piece
  2. Careful attention to detail
  3. Reduced waste and responsible production
  4. Ongoing improvements to both our designs and our manufacturing process, so you always receive the latest and best version

Making to order isn’t a limitation; it’s one of our biggest strengths. Your item isn’t mass-produced; it’s thoughtfully made just for you.

If you're interested in something marked “sold out,” you can still order it, it simply means your piece will be crafted upon request.

If you have any questions about a particular item or turnaround time, we’re always happy to help.

Postage Charges

Postage will be calculated and invoiced once your order is ready to ship. We use Royal Mail, Parcelforce and DPD. All items will be sent tracked or require a signature. International postage will have the correct value listed and advised as sale of goods. The customer is responsible for any import charges and taxes. Please note that the new system for Royal Mail International applies import duty and fees this end.

Please contact us prior to purchase for an estimated cost if needed.

WHERE GOOD STOPS, WE BEGIN

URGENT NOTICE

It's with great sadness that Caramacs Prop Shop will no longer be trading with the EU or NI.

New EU GSPR legislation is coming into force on the 13th December 2024 that will have drastic implications on the way that we do business with the EU. It's all to do with product safely and means that there will be much stricter laws about what can be posted to the EU. This applies to the sale of physical goods by anyone to the EU and NI including sales on Ebay, Amazon, Etsy...............

https://commission.europa.eu/.../general-product-safety...

It's not so much the extra paperwork that is the problem but that all British business have to pay for a responsible economic operator in the EU to voucher for every single parcel that is sent. This means that you will have to pay someone who works in the EU governing body and who lives in the EU to confirm that your parcels are safe.

This has been estimated at thousands of pounds a year, impossible for small businesses. Fines estimated at £20,000 with even the risk of imprisonment if you don't comply.

Whereas big companies can absorb these cost, this is beyond the realms of possibility for small businesses like ours, so we are stopping shipping to the EU from 12 December 2024. This just feels like another nail in the coffin for small businesses and sole traders.
